Last week we launched the blu Music Tour at Baltic Block Party in Liverpool . Being our resident Social Networker, I headed along to let our Facebook fans and Twitter followers in on the action.
We kicked the night off by warming up with a tour in the centre of town in our blu buses, giving passers by the chance to experience the #blufreedom Oculus Rift Virtual Reality experience.
With the 360 degree experience, you are able to try out Oculus Rift’s cutting edge technology and through the headsets you are taken on a journey through the #blufreedom landscape. You find yourself on a dune buggy, riding through twists and turns of light installations and jumps. It’s amazing when you look around yourself and behind you and see the landscape all around you – it really feels like you’re actually there!
After our tour around Liverpool Centre, we parked up the blu buses at Baltic Block party ready for what was to be an epic night. With 5 venues, scores of amazing DJs and a virtual reality experience to boot, there was so much to enjoy. Our own venue, blu Haus featured unbelievable sets from artists like Ejeca, Happa, Boddika and Pariah.
The real highlight of the night for me had to be the amazing Ben Klock. When it was time for his set, the blu Haus packed to the rafters and he absolutely blew the roof off the place. A stunning set matched with the phenomenal light show made for a spectacular experience that won’t soon be forgotten.
The next stop on the blu Music Tour is our home town of Edinburgh. We can’t wait for our buses to come home and we’re sure to have another amazing night with a fantastic line up at Cabaret Voltaire on Saturday the 7th June. There’s still a little time to get your tickets if you want to experience it all for yourself. Just head to https://www.blu.co.uk/tickets to register for yours.
