As summer fades away, Brits everywhere are doing their best to make the most of the last dregs of sunshine; and what better way than a good old fashioned road trip? Forget Fear and Loathing style hedonism, we’re talking chilled out country pub lunches, roadside waterfalls, green cliff-sides and, of course, the fragrant taste of bluBerry e-liquid.
To get the best of what these great islands have to offer, we’ve put together a list of some of the most scenic routes in the UK so that you can enjoy an e-cig on the road in 2015.
Antrim coast, Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland’s north coast is renowned for its many bubbling waterfalls, green glens and picturesque villages. Start at the whitewashed village of Whitehead – 30 minutes from Belfast – and set out straight along the coast. For an authentic Antrim vape, take a different e-liquid for every one of the nine glens you’ll pass through. End your trip in Ballycastle for a famous Maud’s Ice Cream and blu Vanilla flavoured e-cigarette.
The unusually named Gospel Pass is the highest road pass in Wales. It runs over the Black Mountains deep in the south of the singing country. Your best bet is to begin in Abergavenny and wind through the Brecon Beacons National Park. When you are ready for a break, stop and take in the surroundings with a refreshing Menthol e-cig. Pick up the rest of the journey on a narrow road passing Llanthony Priory and end in Hay on Wye. With no shortage of pubs, order up a hearty Welsh meal before enjoying the traditional taste of a blu Classic Tobacco e-cig.
This is one of the more epic journeys on our list and will take you through the heart of the rugged Scottish countryside. Start off in Edinburgh with a Tobacco Gold e-cig as you take in the impressive views over the Forth Road Bridge.
Move on to the scenic coastal route towards Ullapool and experience sweeping turns with mountain passes before the road drops down into Gairloch. Round off your adventure by finishing up in the Highland city of Inverness with a vintage classic like Rich Tobacco as your companion.
If you fancy extending your Highland adventure, check out the new North Coast 500 route. It’s a five day minimum trek, but is worth every minute. Curving all the way around the north of the country it highlights some of Scotland’s most impressive landscapes.
Cornwall: Zennor to Sennen
The road from Zennor to Sennen winds across the west Cornish coastline and beyond. It is the shortest of our scenic stretches. Follow the remote coastline for the entire journey, which reveals some exceptional vistas as you meander along. Pair a Cherry flavoured e-cig to match perfectly with the floral Cornish air. As you make your way into Sennen, try a more exhilarating flavour like NRG as you look out towards the famed Longships Lighthouse.
Travel is all about the senses, and with nine unique flavours at blu, you have loads to choose from to enhance that scenic drive. Get out on the road this summer.
