What are E-cigarette Batteries

E-cigarettes are powered by batteries that can be recharged or replaced whenever they run out of charge. Understanding how batteries work is key to any vaping experience and will help you get the most from your e-cigarette.

How do e-cigarette batteries work?

E-cigarette batteries are found at the base of the device and screw directly onto the clearomizer or tank. Whenever the battery is out of charge, it can be unscrewed and attached to USB charger so that it can be used again. Some e-cig kits, such as the blu PLUS+™ Rechargeable Kit, have storage space for additional batteries in case one runs out.

Batteries are activated in one of two ways depending on the e-cigarette they are a part of. For Open System e-cigarettes like the blu PRO™, there is a button on the side of the device. When this button is pressed, the battery switches on the heating element inside the clearomizer, turning the liquid into vapor. With Closed System e-cigs like the blu PLUS+™, the battery is activated by a motion sensor inside the mouthpiece which detects when a inhale is taken.

blu® Rechargeable Devices have a LED light on the tip of the e-cigarette which lights up whenever vapor is inhaled from it. This same light can also be used to indicate when the battery is fully charged, as it will begin to blink when the device has finished charging.

All blu® e-cigarette Rechargeable Devices can be charged by plugging into a USB port either on a laptop or mains adaptor, although it is worth noting that charging from a laptop will take three hours compared to two hours with a main adaptor.

I was using another brand e-cig but wasn't satisfied. Upon getting Blu, I was very impressed with the set-up and especially with how long the battery and tanks last. I'd consider myself a moderate user and have been on the same tank for 5 days. How cool is that?
